Plainfield Junior Woman's Club to Host Casino Night Fundraiser

Tickets are on sale now.

Blackhawk tickets, a chance to skydive, a Kohler Waters Spa stay, jewelry from Tiffany…even a trip to school in a fire truck could all be yours if you come out for a cause and join the Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club at their 5th annual fundraiser, PJWC’s Spring Fling Casino Night, on Friday, April 4.

The event is set for 7 p.m. at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club, 7671 Clubhouse Drive in Yorkville. Guests will enjoy an evening of food, music, casino action, a cash bar, raffles and auctions.

“We wanted to make the event a night of fun and entertainment,” said Amber Enke, co-chair of the event. “The Casino Night allows for everyone to walk around and mingle, while having fun in the process. The nice thing is that you aren't losing your own money while gambling, and you’re able to give back to some really great organizations.”

Those organizations include CASA of Will County, Joliet Area Hospice Corporation Pediatric, Children’s Research Foundation and Creekside Cares. Past fundraisers have brought in up to $25,000 for charity, and the organizers hope this year they can top that number.

“As this event is annual, it is the only opportunity for us to raise funds for the deserving charity recipients,” said Radoica Kilgore, fellow co-chair. “We focus our efforts on one large event, in the hopes that the community will look forward to, and rally to support our charities.”

“We choose local organizations so that the community will support us in our efforts to raise funds,” added Enke. “When the community can see the work that is being done in their own backyard, they are more willing to help out. We also, when possible, try to pick organizations that are not in the spotlight and do not get a lot of support.”

Tickets to the event are $40 each and can be purchased at the door or online by clicking here.
