Save a Life: Plainfield Pet Rescue Looking for Foster Families

Become a volunteer or foster for Help Save Pets.

Help Save Pets, a Plainfield-based animal rescue, is in need of volunteers and foster families for the new year.

Pet lovers who can spare some space in their homes are encouraged to foster pets. Fosters are needed for pregnant or nursing moms, underweight babies, recovery animals and during busy seasons. To foster, email Sue at tempcare@helpsavepets.org.

If you're not able to foster but have a little time on your hands, HSP is also in need of volunteers. The rescue is open seven days a week and conducts outside and adoption events, so there are plenty of opportunities. To volunteer, email Nancy at volunteer@helpsavepets.org.

HSP was founded in 2000 and since then has placed more than 6,000 pets in loving homes.

HSP houses pets at the Animal Care Center, 14411 S. Route 59 in Plainfield. Available pets can also be viewed at www.helpsavepets.org. Adoption donations range from $29 to $399 for cats and dogs and all include spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first distemper vaccine, fecal test, first worming, heartworm test (if applicable), canine bordetella, feline leukemia test (if applicable), and a microchip identification implant.
