Tornadoes Possible as Fast-Moving Storm Heads toward Plainfield
The storm could also bring three-quarter inch hail and 70 mph winds, the National Weather Service said.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning affecting Will and eastern Kendall counties, effective until 7 p.m. Monday.
Hail greater than three-quarters of an inch, 70 mph winds and tornadoes are possible with this storm.
“This is a dangerous situation,” the alert said. “These storms have been producing widespread wind damage.”
