In its first outing on June 16, the club attracted 10 participants.

Nicklin stressed that you don’t have to be a HealthSource client to participate in the free events.

She said she would like to see the club branch out to offer more meetups throughout the week.

“As it grows, we’re going to have more dates,” Nicklin said. “We want to try to do a mid-week stress reliever, a ‘Wednesday Walkout.’”

Participants will receive a free journal to log their miles. Once they reach 25 miles, they’ll get a GPS pedometer to help track their progress.

“We start with our stretches and we do a walk around the lake,” Nicklin said.
