Wanted: Vendors for Plainfield Farmers Market

Farmers market runs June to September near downtown Plainfield.

The Plainfield Farmers Market will return to the southwest corner of Route 59 and Lockport Street on Saturday, June 14, and spaces are still available for vendors.

Organizer Susan Bostanche said vendors can sign up for all or part of the 16-week season by calling her at (630) 608-7344.

The cost is $100 for the entire season. Non-profits can rent spaces for free, Bostanche said.

She also urged college students who are home for the summer to use the market as an opportunity to make some extra money by offering to pick up produce from area farmers and sell it at the market.

The Plainfield Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from June 14 to Sept. 21.
