Watch 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days' in Plainfield

Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a free movie outdoors.

The 2014 Movie Series, presented by BMO Harris Bank, continues at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 25.

The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will be showing Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, sponsored by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, is the third movie based on the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and stars Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, and Devon Bostick.  The movie is rated PG with a run time of 94 minutes. 

Be sure to head to Settlers’ Park early, the Plainfield Park District is organizing Family Recess, backyard games and activities, at 7:30 p.m.  The Plainfield Library, Plainfield Police Department, and Plainfield Fire Protection District are also joining in the fun and will be at the movie!

Settlers’ Park is located in Downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall.  Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road. 

Terraced seating is available.  Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.  Concessions will be available for sale and the proceeds will benefit the movies in the park.
