Welcome for Plainfield Veteran Set for Saturday
Plainfield High School graduate Airman Dana Reyes is retiring from the U.S. Air Force.
Operation Welcome You Home will greet a retiring Plainfield veteran this Saturday at Meijer, 13521 S. Route 59.
The daughter of Alfred and Tish Reyes, Dana is retiring this month after completing her 18-year military service while station in Washington, D.C. She is a 1993 graduate of Plainfield High School.
Staging is set for 5:15 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Meijer, with a briefing at 5:30 p.m. A motorcade will greet Reyes at her home before escorting her to a party being held in her honor.
Reyes' family said community members are also welcome to gather in the Whispering Creek subdivision at 6 p.m. to await the motorcade's arrival at the family's home on Clover Court before heading to the American Legion for a family-only party.
