Environmental Elvis to Perform as Part of Green Village Series

Green E -- The Environmental Elvis, aka David Pyle, a Chicago-area musician, will kick off the 2011 Green Village Lecture Series with a 7 p.m. Jan. 10 performance at the , 15025 W. Illinois St.

Among the Elvis Presley songs in his repertoire: "Don't Waste Fuel" (to the tune of "Don't Be Cruel"), "Are You Recycling Tonight?" ("Are You Lonesome Tonight?") and "Viva Falafel" ("Viva Las Vegas").

Pyle, performing as Green E – The Environmental Elvis, had peformed and brought his environmental message to groups in 26 states across the country. You can learn more about him at www.greenelvis.com.

The Green Village Lecture Series, now in its fourth year, is a partnership between the  and the Plainfield Public Library District dedicated to conducting monthly workshops with an environmental focus.  Programs are held at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the library.
