'Fruitless Fall' Book Discussion at Aug. 13 Green Village Event

The “Year of the Bee” continues with a discussion of the book, Fruitless Fall, at the August 13 program of the Green Village Lecture Series. The free event begins at 7 p.m. at the Plainfield Public Library.

Several of the monthly Green Village programs have been devoted to the role bees play in our environment and highlighting current threats to bee populations worldwide.  Fruitless Fall examines the economic, political, and ecological implications of the worldwide disappearance of the honeybee.  Read the book and come join in a lively discussion of this important topic.  Refreshments will be served.

The Green Village Lecture Series is a partnership between the Village of Plainfield and the Plainfield Public Library District to host monthly workshops with an environmental focus.  Events are held the second Monday of each month, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Plainfield Public Library.
