Lewis University Committee on Latin America and Latina/o Academic and Student Events (CLASE) along with the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) will be hosting convocation on Thursday September 16th in the Sancta Alberta Chapel located on the University's main campus in Romeoville.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Daniel Gutierrez, a long time native of the Joliet area. "Heritage, Diversity, Integrity and Honor: The Renewed Hope of America" is this year's national theme, as September 15th – October 15th marks the 42nd year of the celebration of Latino Heritage Month. Gutierrez's speech will touch on the month's theme and on giving back to one's community.
