Lewis University Hosts Inequality Series

 

As part of its Arts & Ideas program, Lewis University in Romeoville will present an "Impacts of Inequality" series that will consist of lectures and films throughout the fall semester. The purpose of the series is to explore financial and social inequalities while examining the physical and social health of the nation. These events are free of charge and open to the public.

As the nation is experiencing record levels of obesity and related health concerns, there are many calls from activists, researchers and politicians to improve eating habits. At 2:00pm on October 4th in Room AS-158, Dr. Angela Odoms-Young will present research on access to food and good nutrition.

At 1:00pm on October 11th in the Sancta Alberta Chapel, "In Health and Wealth" will be shown followed by a panel discussion. "The Past, The Present, The Promise" lecture will be held at 2:00pm on October 25th in Room AS-158. For additional information on the series, please call Dr. Tennille Allen at number below
