Plainfield River Days Party in the Park makes its debut Sept. 11 at Electric Park, just off Lockport Street on the banks of the DuPage River. Activities include live music and dancing, mini golf, face painting, a kids' fishing tournament, dunk tank, fire department "water wars," car and tractor exhibition, beer and food tent, duck race and Plainfield Art League art show. The event is sponsored by the Plainfield Riverfront Foundation to promote the village's Plainfield Riverfton Master Plan.
