River Days Fest Makes Its Debut Sept. 11

The Plainfield Riverfront Foundation is holding Plainfield River Days at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 on the banks of the DuPage River east if Settlers Park in downtown Plainfield. The event, designed to raise awareness of the village's riverfront development plan, will feature live entertainment, art fair, food, kids' activities, bean bag tournaments, a beer tent, a car and tractor exhibition and a patriotic recognition of 9/11. A "duck race" fundraising event will be held at 4 p.m. with prizes of $500, $200 and $100 awarded. Purchase tickets at Plainfield Village Hall, Plainfield Public Library, Limestone Brewing, First Midwest Bank on Lockport Street, First Community Bank on U.S. 30, and the Marsaglia Agency.
