Fan Recreates 'Blues Brothers' Mall Chase Scene ... With Legos

An Australian fan of the film watched the scene over and over to get it just right.

An Australian Lego enthusiast has painstakingly recreated one of the most iconic scenes from 1980's "The Blues Brothers" -- using nothing but the tiny toys.

Duncan McConchie, creator of Lego community website Bricktease.com, posted a frame-by-frame Lego remake of the famous Dixie Square Mall chase scene on YouTube. Since it was posted Monday, the incredible clip has had more than 32,000 views.

McConchie also posted a behind-the-scenes look at how he made the clip. He said he watched the chase scene "a heap of times" to make sure he got the details — from the kinds of shops in the mall to the characters' costumes — just right. He also had to painstakingly build a Lego Blues Mobile.

“I've been a fan of the Blues Brothers since I was really young and the chase through the shopping mall has always been a favorite,” McConchie said.
