Plainfield Contestant Gets Reprieve on 'Biggest Loser'

Tanya Winfield makes it to week 4 on the reality show.

Plainfield mom Tanya Winfield continues her fight to become the "Biggest Loser" after avoiding elimination thanks to a "trainer save."

Winfield, 41, had an emotional third week on the NBC reality show, opening up to trainer Dolvett Quince about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her late mother, and her anger at herself over bad habits that put her youngest daughter at risk for childhood obesity.

When it was time to weigh in, Tanya and her teammates got a shock as she learned she hadn't lost a single pound. Since the red team had lost the weigh-in, that would have meant automatic elimination for Winfield, had it not been for a new rule this season that allows each trainer to save one team member from going home.

Dolvett used his trainer save to keep Winfield on the red team for another week.

"The Biggest Loser" airs at 7 Central Tuesdays on NBC.
