Plainfield Library Hosts 'Star Wars Reads' Day

Head to the library after the community homecoming parade for some Star Wars-themed fun.

The Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., will host "Star Wars Reads" Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.


Guests will get the opportunity to meet Darth Vader and other members of the 501st Legion and get their picture taken in a photo booth. 

Other exciting events include a scavenger hunt, trivia for the adults, and variety of prizes including a special drawing for anyone who comes in costume.

"Star Wars"- themed crafts like making your own light saber or creating Yoda ears/Leia buns will add to the fun. 

Storm trooper training will also take place in the afternoon.

"Star Wars" books will be available for checkout, so bring your library card. This free event is open to all ages.
