The public is invited to attend the Back-to-School Fair Thursday, Sept. 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Joliet Junior College Greenhouse on Houbolt Road in conjunction with the weekly Farmers Market.

The fair will provide visitors and their families the opportunity to learn about the programs offered at JJC through demonstrations and tours, enjoy live entertainment, and shop local vendors at the Farmers Market. Academic programs at the fair will include Agriculture, Horticulture, Fine Arts, Vet Tech, Culinary Arts, English and Technical.

“We want to invite community members to come and not only check out the wonderful array of local vendors we have at the JJC Farmers Market, but also get to know what else JJC can offer them,” said Horticulture Professor Donna Theimer. “We’ve got live demonstrations and hands-on activities designed to show learners of all ages what a great resource JJC is to the community.”
