Summer break is nearly over, and the C.W. Avery Family YMCA is reminding parents that it's time to enroll students in the Y's Kidz Zone before- and after-school program.
"With school staring on Thursday, it’s important for families to get their kids registered ASAP," Greater Joliet Area YMCA Vice President Carolyn Hamilton said. "Our program at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA is serving all elementary schools in district 202 this fall."
The YMCA is partnering with District 202 to provide before- and after-school recreational activities for elementary school students.
During the school year, the Kidz Zone program is open from approximately 7 to 9 a.m. before school and 3 to 6 p.m. after school.
The program is also available at the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, 15120 Wallin Dr., on days when school is not in session, including institute days, holiday and spring breaks. Daily activities include arts and crafts, games and recreational activities.
