JOLIET – Welcome home.

Feigh, a senior outside hitter, added 4 digs for JCA (14-0, 4-0). Senior middle Hailey Pennington (Plainfield) picked up 4 kills, while senior setters Emily Schoenstedt (Plainfield) and Lauren Robertson (Wilmington) each contributed 7 set assists.

Senior libero Jill Hickey (Oswego) and Robertson also led with 8 points apiece, with Hickey flooring 4 aces and Robertson nailing 2 aces. Schoenstedt delivered 4 digs and Pennington had 2 block kills.

“It was a great chance for us to get everyone to play and we don’t have a lot of matches like that on the schedule,” JCA coach Christine Scheibe said. “Everyone who came in did a nice job and it shows the depth that we have on this roster.”

Back-to-back aces by Hickey helped the Angels jump to an 18-7 lead in Game 1. Reardon’s cross-court kill pushed that to 20-8 and a solo block by senior middle Gianna Lincoln sealed the deal at the end.

Game 2, however, was deadlocked at 7-7 before Feigh’s roll-shot kill and back-to-back aces by Robertson. An ace by senior defensive specialist Meggie Fahrner (Plainfield) made it 18-9 and an ace by senior setter Alaina Ragusa provided a 21-11 lead.

Afterward, Scheibe credited junior defensive specialist Sara Adler and junior middle Morgan Stenson (Lockport).

“I thought Sara came in and did a nice job defensively,” Scheibe said. “And Morgan came in on the right side, had to put up a set and got a great assist. We played a solid match, up and down the lineup.
