More Cold-Weather Closings in Plainfield

Plainfield library, township also among closings.

District 202 has announced that, due to extreme cold, school will be cancelled for a second day.

A wind chill advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Tuesday is expected to be sunny and cold, with a high near 3 and wind chill values as low as -31, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday is expected to be sunny and clear, with a high near 18.

From District 202:

"District 202 schools and facilities will be closed again tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28, 2014 because of the continuing extreme weather conditions. However, all 12-month employees and principals must report to work if possible. Transportation will not be provided to students attending schools outside District 202."
