Opening date: Dec. 1, 2011

Hours: By appointment only

Type of business: Photography studio

What sets this business apart from others of its kind? Wright said she prides herself in being a “more casual shooter” rather than a traditional studio photographer.

“I like to show my clients as natural as possible, in natural light, whether at home, in a park or in the studio. It’s not just ‘sit and smile’ here.”

What made you decide to open your business in Plainfield? “What excited me about being in the downtown area is how true everyone is to keeping the historic and small-town feel. I love it,” Wright said.

What’s new? Wright is looking to add something unique to downtown Plainfield’s cruise nights this spring and summer.

“I’m brainstorming the idea right now of bringing in a really casual portrait booth, something fun and affordable, kind of retro,” she said.
