What sets the business apart from others of its kind? Patrons may find it tough to decide between all the choices on Southern Belle’s breakfast menu. Among the options, eggs served with traditional sides and less-traditional, including pork chops, country-fried steak and more; omelettes filled with such as apples and cheddar, gyro meat, or even tomato, mozzarella and pesto; crepes, blintzes and French toast smothered with a variety of tasty toppings; breakfast burritos and other Southwestern fare; and eggs Benedict served seven ways. House specialties include Denver Skins (potato skins filled with scrambled eggs, ham, onions and green peppers and covered with melted cheddar cheese), country-style biscuits and gravy and, for serious eaters only, a frittata made with six eggs, Italian sausage, veggies, cheese and a side of marinara sauce.

Southern Belle’s lunch menu is every bit as impressive, featuring burgers, a variety of sandwiches from club and chicken to gyros, Reuben, French dip, Philly cheese and more; hot sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy, paninis and melts; and soups, salads and much more.

What else does Southern Belle’s offer? According to Plainfield manager Charie Beseke, Southern Belle’s will soon begin serving specialty coffees, cappuccino, latte and espresso. And this summer, the restaurant will add fruit smoothies, perfect for sipping on the restaurant’s outdoor patio.
