officials and business owners turned out Tuesday for the groundbreaking of a new Plainfield auto service center.
Rod Baker Ford Quick Lane is tentatively scheduled to open Oct. 1 in front of the store on Route 59 in Plainfield, according to General Manager Brett Fessler.
The service center will feature nine vehicle bays and an alignment rack.
“We’ll do quick oil changes, alignments, tires, brakes, batteries,” Fessler said.
Though its sister business, , has been selling Ford cars and trucks in Plainfield for nearly 50 years, the new Quick Lane will service all makes and models, Fessler said.
“We’re locally owned and operated, and we’ve been around for 48 years,” he said.
