Diageo on List of 'Best Multinational Workplaces'

The international beverage bottling/manufacturing company has a facility in Plainfield.

Diageo, which recently invested $120 million in expanding its Plainfield facility, was just named the No. 8 Best Multinational Workplace by Great Place to Work, a global consulting, research and training firm.

The honor ranks the beverage company alongside Google (No. 1), Microsoft (No. 4) and American Express (No. 14). This is the third consecutive year that Diageo has appeared on the list; this time around, the company beat out its 2012 11th-place ranking.

“We are delighted to be recognized as one of the top 25 multinational places to work for the third year running," HR Director Leanne Wood said in a release posted to Diageo's website. "Our people are the heart of our business and Diageo is committed to creating an inclusive culture based on freedom and trust in which our employees can thrive. This award also reflects the work of thousands of our inspirational employees across the 180 markets in which we operate, who together make Diageo a great place to work."
