Meijer Hosts a Healthy Living Event To Promote Heart Health

  • Learn How To Integrate Heart-Healthy Living Into Your Daily Life During February Heart Health Month At All Meijer Locations

In an effort to promote heart-healthy living among its customers, Meijer will be presenting an in-store healthy living event at all store locations on Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.  In support of the cause, each Meijer location will feature a sampling demonstration of heart-healthy food, including: Meijer Whole Grain Chips and Orange Juice; whole-grain breakfast cereal, soy milk, eggs, butter spread, and salad kits.

Free Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings and blood pressure checks will be provided by a trained Meijer Pharmacy Technician in the pharmacy department. Customers are also encouraged to pick up a FREE Meijer "Healthy Living Naturally" booklet containing information on making healthier food choices, family menu planning tips and heart healthy recipes, and coupons, and a FREE Meijer Pharmacy Vitamin Book 2011, containing over $100 in coupons.
