When and how did your business get started?

Fluid MotorUnion started a little over five years ago as a little side project. The two founders, OJ Lopez and Craig Hegland, were working for Perillo BMW in Chicago and decided they wanted to start their own business on the side.

With the help of OJ's Mom, and one employee, Luci, Fluid MotorUnion started handling basic car repair. Every night OJ and Craig would diagnose any cars that had been dropped off for service and Luci would handle the repairs the next day. As the shops name became more and more known, Craig and OJ had to leave Perillo in order to be at the shop full time.

Two different locations later, we're situated in a 25,000-square-foot facility with roughly 10 employees while still looking to expand.
