Nabby's Celebrates 25 Years with Rollback Prices

Diners can enjoy 1990 prices on select items from Friday through Sunday at the Plainfield restaurant.

Ready to go back in time?

Nabby's will take diners back to 1990 as the eatery's owners celebrate their 25th year in business. The business is located at 14802 N. Michigan St., near Route 59 and Main Street.

Co-owner Mike Vitullo said the restaurant will roll back prices to 99 cents on Vienna beef hot dogs and hamburgers as a way of thanking the community for its years of support.

The three-day deal starts Friday, April 4, and ends Sunday, Vitullo said.

The business has survived ups and downs, including the 1990 tornado, which happened just months after Vitullo and business partner Paul Hamiti bought the restaurant. Nabby's has also made it through the economic downturn that hit in 2008, Vitullo said.

"We were fortunate, I think we had a strong enough [customer] base," he said, adding that Nabby's catering business has played a big role in getting the eatery through tough economic times.

"This town's been good to me," Vitullo said, adding the restaurant has a loyal base of longtime customers.

Vitullo said Nabby's is also looking to reach out to new customers.

"We're also looking for new followers," he said. "We do see new people almost every day."

Vitullo said diners can look forward to more specials and anniversary deals this year as Nabby's celebrates its 25th year.
