New Business Spotlight: Martinizing Dry Cleaning

The new upscale dry cleaner offers home delivery and environmentally friendly products.

Martinizing Dry Cleaning

Martinizing Dry Cleaning, a new upscale dry cleaner, opened Jan. 21 on the Frankfort-Mokena border.

The business prioritizes customer service and quality, according to local franchise owner Vince Aversano. Martinizing offers a customer VIP program with 24-hour drop-off service and home delivery in the spring and summer.

The franchise uses an odorless and environmentally friendly solvent called Green Earth at its 2,200-square-foot plant, which also has an adjacent 600-square-foot alterations room.

Martinizing is a 60-year-old Cincinnati-based company with several hundred stores in the U.S. Each new employee the company hires goes through a two-week training process.

Mokena’s store is the only Martinizing location in the Chicago area. And while Martinizing is an Ohio company, Aversano knows the Lincoln-Way area well. He lives in New Lenox, serves as president of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in the local business community for years.

Upscale dry cleaner? What is that?

It means you pay more money than you would in a non-upscale dry cleaner!

24 hour drop off - enviromentally safe cleaning - delivery service ---- sounds pretty good to me!

Nice to have another dry cleaner for business in our community, but will stay with the local one I go to. I don't care about the "green" products because I never thought dry cleaning an occassional piece of clothing is hurting the environment.
