New Plainfield McDonald's to Open Monday

The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Feb. 3.

The new McDonald's at Route 30 and 135th Street in Plainfield is slated to open at 11 a.m. Monday, according to owner Nick Kory.

During the grand opening, the first 100 customers will receive a free Extra Value Meal, coffee or fries for one year, according to Kory. 

A similar offer is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8, along with face painting from noon to 1 p.m.

Other grand opening activities:
  • Saturday, Feb. 15: Ronald McDonald is scheduled to visit from noon to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 18: Stop by and meet former Chicago Blackhawks Hall of Famer Tony Esposito from 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 22: A balloon artist will be in store from noon to 1 p.m.

As they've been putting the finishing touches on and I've been driving by each day, it does look bright and shiny and modern. Hope it brings lots of good things to the surrounding community and that people enjoy it.

"Obvy" they know what their doing. It's not like it's a small starter company or one that is failing. They put one there due to a demand, not because of a 3 mile mark, obvy.
