Plainfield Businesses Now Hiring

Two Plainfield businesses have job openings.

Lincoln Way Barber Shop, 24045 W. Lockport St., is looking to hire a new weekend barber. From owner Don Kinley:

"Experienced barber needed to work Saturdays in an established downtown Plainfield Barber Shop. Please contact Don Kinley at 815-436-6466."
Peter Rubi produce store is also hiring. Located at 15412 S. Route 59, the business just celebrated its one-year anniversary. 

The store is seeking to fill several full-time positions: prep associate, sales floor associate, marketing manager and assistant store manager.

General Requirements:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Demonstrates effective time management
• Motivated with a strong sense of teamwork
• Stand and walk for an extended period of time
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds regularly
• Can work evening and weekends
• Follow health and safety standards

Marketing Manager:

• Create and execute in-store and community events
• Develop promotional relationships with local schools, businesses and community organizations

• Assist with weekly ad development
•  Creative and a self-starter

Prep Associates:

• Must have previous experience working with and handling knives in a commercial setting. 
• Duties involve preparing fresh produce items and juices
• Will assist will restocking produce 

Sales Floor Associate

• Previous retail experience is recommended
• Duties involve; rotating and stocking produce, maintaining a clean, stocked and organized sales floor
• Assist at the checkout counter as needed

Assistant Store Manager:

• Previous managerial experience required
• Strong leadership skills
• Positive role model for co-workers
