Hardee's is officially back in Plainfield.

The fast-food chain opened in the former Burger King, 16020 S. Route 59, last week.

The restaurant was actually the first fast-food franchise in Plainfield, with a location in the now-vacant Route 59 Grill site, 15521 S. Route 59, in the early 1980s. Now, after closing in the 1990s, the eatery has returned.

According to the website, the restaurant is open 24 hours.

The learning curve is just starting. Be patient with newbies learning their system--Had Cold food twice. Will revisit in a Month after the cob webs clear.

Went last night. Food was pretty good, but service was very unorganized. VERY SLOW! Lots of staff, but no real leadership so they didn't know what to do and when. They need a lot more training and a lot better guidance.

All businesses have growing pains the first month or two they are open. Give them a some time to get it right and support all businesses in Plainfield.

The Hardees is actually really good. I have enjoyed seeing this restaurant come back and have stopped by a couple times - in Oswego - of course. They have cheaper sales and gas tax than Plainfield does. Make sure you fill up your gas tank in Oswego too. I refuse to spend a nickel with ANY business in Plainfield when there are plans to renovate some offices at Village Hall. I can't say I'm surprised when it's the same group of people that decided to dump tens of thousands of dollars in the Baci building. Both are an absolute waste of money. You could probably hang a sign on the Baci building that says 'free' and Plainfield would still have a hard time getting rid of it.
