A Plainfield salon has apparently closed its doors for good — with no warning to clients or hairstylists.

Cost Cutters Family Hair Care, 2316 Route 59 in the Caton Crossing Town Square shopping center, reportedly closed on Dec. 29.

According to one stylist, who asked not to be named, the business shut down without warning — leaving workers with no way of letting their clients know how to reach them.

Repeated calls the salon on Friday went unanswered, and the business' Facebook page listed it as "permanently closed."

As of Friday afternoon, the Plainfield location was no longer listed on the Cost Cutters website, although locations including Joliet (2410 Jefferson St.) and Naperville (115 E. Ogden) remained.

Which BK? Is the Cost Cutters the one at 59 and Caton or the one by Target?

My boyfriend got a haircut from there a couple of weeks ago. I don't know how hard it is to use clippers, but he got a horrible cut. I'm not that surprised they closed.

The reason for closing was NOT from how to use clippers. The owner shut it down for other reason. I was a employee there and it was a GREAT salon that had loyal employees and customers.
