Readers' Choice: Who Do You Trust to Prepare Your Income Taxes?

Support your favorite village businesses by reviewing your top pick. April 17 is just around the corner — who's your pick to get your taxes in order?

It's tax season, and even though the IRS has extended the deadline to file this year's tax returns by a couple of days, it's getting down to the wire — you don't have much time left to make sure yours have been properly prepared.

So, who do you trust when it's tax time? Vote for your favorite accountant or tax service by leaving a review in our Patch Directory, voting here, taking the poll at the bottom of this story or telling us your pick in the comments.

Without further ado, here are this week's nominees:

How to vote
To pick your favorite, simply take a moment to click on each business and post a review in our Patch Directory. The “Readers’ Choice” winner will be based on the reviews received on each directory listing, reader comments and poll results.

Reviews posted between today and noon on Sunday, April 8, will be taken into account during scoring.

Don’t forget to promote your local favorite by linking to this article — and the business’ directory listing — on Facebook and Twitter.

Help support your favorite local merchants by taking part in “Readers’ Choice.”

EDITOR'S NOTE: The “Readers' Choice” series is intended to be fun. Please, keep comments constructive and friendly. This space is for celebrating businesses you think deserves to be recognized, and obviously opinions will vary.

That our tax code is so complex we have to support entire businesses just to do our taxes is a scathing indictment of just how absurd our tax system is. I notice you didn't even allow for the possibility one might do one's own taxes.
