River Days Seeking Food Vendors for ‘Taste of Plainfield’

So far, four restaurants have signed up. Don't miss your chance!

Plainfield River Days will return to the village in September, this time with a tasty twist.

The theme for the third annual event, a fundraiser for the Plainfield Riverfront Foundation is “Taste of Plainfield,” and organizers are looking for restaurants to sign on as food vendors for the fest.

To participate, restaurants must be located in Plainfield. So far, four eateries have signed up to participate, according to organizer Cyndi Fulco.

“We would like to limit it to 10 vendors,” she said, adding organizers are hoping to have a mix of different types of food.

“We have no Mexican or Chinese yet, so that would be fun,” she said.

This year’s River Days are Sept. 14, 15 and 16 along Plainfield’s riverfront. The event raises money for plans to revitalize the area with a riverwalk on the two-mile stretch along the DuPage River.

Restaurant owners who would like to participate in Plainfield River Days Taste of Plainfield can email Fulco at rosals@rosals.com or send her a message on Facebook.
