Getting ready for Sunday's game? Got the big screen TV and your favorite pizza place on speed dial? When the big game ends, we may have a champion but the debate over who's really the best never ends.
That's true for pizza, too. But Patch's Pizza Playoffs aims to find The Most Loved Pizza in the Southland.
Frankfort and Mokena Patch users have a lot to say on this.
Paul Wagner: Don't forget about Palermo's in Frankfort. I grew up on that pizza from Chicago. The one in Frankfort is not the same as the one in Orland Park, the owners are relatives.
: Great food (at Fox's on Wolf)! Love how thin their pizza crust is and their sausage is the best. Soups and sandwiches are good too. My favorite is The O'Brien!
Chris Hedges: Parmesans in Frankfort deserves a nod. It's more of a gourmet type pizza, but an excellent pizza when you are looking for a change from the same old pizza.
: My family and I love this place (Tony's Villa Rosa in Mokena)! The pizza is fabulous and they have great prices and always have a coupon. We used to order from other places, but not any more.
: (Tony's Villa Rosa in Frankfort) is the best pizza around. Once you have one you want want to order from anywhere else.
Here's our lineup for Frankfort and Mokena. We're focusing solely on local pizza places — no big regional or national chains. Voting is open until Feb. 5 at midnight.
The pizza garnering the most votes in this round will advance to the championship round, facing off against winners from throughout South Suburban Patchland.
