Best In Show Dog & Cat Grooming was established in July 2006 in Lockport.  My love for animals was something I was born with.  I can remember reading anything I could get my hands on pertaining to animals, especially dogs and cats.

As I entered into the work force, animals were the only way to go.  I worked with them in many different aspects as well as varieties.  Anywhere from horses to reptiles, but my true love was always dogs and cats.

In 1999, I decided to become a groomer and attended The Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Arlington Heights.  I had gotten lucky enough to be taught by the #2 groomer in the country.  When I graduated, I was placed in a shop that specialized in show cuts and grooming competitions.  I have won many awards while enjoying my career.  After a few years, I had decided to go out on my own and open Best In Show Dog & Cat Grooming. 

I felt that I needed to do something different from other grooming salons.  My shop was to have an open concept so clients could see exactly what was going on with their cherished family members.  I also educated them on how to care for their pets and answer all questions they had.

As the business grew, so did my staff.  I hired only the best groomers as well as training a few myself.  They held the same attitude as I have as far as educating clients and sending no pet home unless it is groomed to perfection.

After seven years in business, I had decided to open a second location.  What better town than Plainfield?  All of the people are friendly and there is always something going on.  I could not imagine a more perfect place to giving our services to.

We take pride in our work and continue our education on a regular basis.  We welcome everyone to come in and take a look around.  We will answer any and all questions.
