Taekwondo is a traditional martial art born in Korea. Literally translated it means the way (do) of the foot (tae) and hand (kwon). It is more than just a way of fighting... it teaches respect, self control, and discipline. Through this art form, we train our mind and body to enhance our spirituality and life. It is an officially recognized sport in the Olympics.
World Champion Tae Kwon Do in Plainfield is overseen by Grand Master Tae Hyung Kim. Master Kim is a sixth degree black belt with the World Taekwondo Federation who has taught and competed in multiple countries. He earned his degree from the Korean National Sports University and has over 35 years of experience that includes being a head coach for an Olympic team in Athens, nine consecutive years of being a world champion, and many other accomplishments in this sport.
Master Kim and his staff recognize the impact a good teacher can have on a student. The instructors at World Champion Tae Kwon Do are patient and enthusiastic, and teach with a perfect blend of discipline and fun. A good student ratio gives every student the personal attention they need to succeed!
