Arian Takes Number 9.

9. Arian Foster- What a story this guy has been. He came into the league in 2010 and three years later, he’s considered by many to be one of the best running backs in football today; behind a guy we will see on this list very soon. He was signed by the Texans in 2010 as an undrafted free agent and has since then been their best player on the offensive side of the football. Foster comes in at number nine on my 10-best players list entering 2013. He has move that’s referred too as the “dead leg” where he will plant his foot into the ground, fake like he’s going one way and run the other to get the defender off his feet. When I watch this guy play, he reminds me of two legends who played the running back position: LaDainian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk. Foster is a dual threat at the running back position. He can catch the football out of the backfield. He can rack up 100 yards receiving along with running the ball for 100 yards in a game. It’s safe to say the Texans offense revolves around Foster. In 2012, he led the league in carries with 351 and rushing touchdowns with 15. What stands out, to me, about his game is his excellent field vision. When he sees a hole open up, he knows he has the speed to get there and get right through it. He will attack any gap the best way he can. Foster can run in between the tackles and outside the tackles. When he’s in the open field, he will make a play with his speed, power and agility. He’s been the definition of consistency since becoming the starting running back in Houston, and he is still in the prime of his career.
