Bama, A&M Meet Up.

Saturday Spotlight

(1)Alabama at (6)Texas A&M

Alabama- The last time the champs faces A&M, it was a must see game and they were upset by the Aggies and eventual Heisman trophy winner, Johnny Manziel. Alabama may say this game isn’t about revenge but I know for a fact there is especially when you lose to a conference rival. Alabama concerned me some in their opener against Virginia Tech. They lost three keys guys on that offensive line and they did struggle up front along with not making some necessary stops on defense. It was only the first game of the season, they will get acclimated to their new surroundings. Many people think this team will be back in the National Championship game come January. The road to that destination will kick off with a battle in College Station.

A&M- When I watch Johnny Manziel play the game, a threat on the basketball court always comes to mind. When you watch a basketball player that draws so much attention like a LeBron, that leaves others wide open and that’s exactly what happens with the man known as Johnny Football. Teams will load the box on him and try to keep him in that pocket to throw and he’ll draw in many defenders to the point that a receiver will be standing wide open down the field. I like this A&M team. They are well coached under Sumlin and they have some nice weapons on offense to compliment Manziel such as running back Ben Malena and receiver Mike Evans who’s a big threat down the field. They beat Bama in Tuscaloosa last year, now they get the chance to beat them again in College Station.

Prediction- Three weeks into the season, this is by far the biggest game of the year. To some, the winner of this game will be a lock for the National Championship. Last year’s meeting was a close one and this years meeting will be exactly the same. I like Bama to get the win this afternoon. Bama 31 A&M 27
