Peyton Looks To Continue Dominance Of Baltimore

My take on Denver/Baltimore.

AFC Game Of The Week

Broncos (10-3) at Ravens (9-4)

Broncos- This is a very solid and well rounded football team and everyone is better because of one guy, Peyton Manning. He makes all the guys around him much better. The Broncos have been one of the hottest teams in football and that winning streak started after that big time win in San Diego when they were down by 24 points. Ever since then, they’ve been rolling and winning. This is a team I wouldn’t want to face in January. Especially in Denver at their stadium. Peyton will be in consideration for the MVP yet again after another great year when questions were asked would we see old Peyton or the Peyton of old after coming back from four neck surgeries in 19 months. Sunday won’t be an easy game. They travel to Baltimore to face a Ravens team that Peyton has succeeded against in his career. Can the Broncos win their ninth in a row? Will Peyton continue his dominance over the Ravens?

Ravens- I won’t necessarily say the Ravens are in trouble, but I feel this is the worst time to be in a funk. They’ve had two opportunities to clinch playoff spots in the last two weeks and have failed to do so. I’m concerned about them and having injuries to key guys makes this no better. Flacco has looked very timid at times when dropping back and this defense has had such a difficult time shutting down the run and that secondary truly misses Webb, who went down with a torn ACL and is done for the year. I still think the Ravens will win the AFC North and we’ll see who they are these next two weeks when face both Peyton and Eli in back to back weeks. A lot can happen for them on Sunday. They win, they’ll be in the playoffs and if the Steelers and Bengals both lose, they’ll clinch the AFC North for the second straight year. They’ll also get a spark as a team as the heart and soul of the Ravens, Ray Lewis is expected to return after his injury was considered season ending. Can the Ravens get back on track?

Prediction: The Broncos are the team we’ve expected them to be when they signed #18. They struggled in the beginning but have really impressed a lot of people during this winning streak. The Ravens have lost that two seed in the AFC playoff picture and are looking to get back on track with a win. I like Denver to keep rolling. Broncos 23 Ravens 21
