The Final Four

Breakdown of the AFC and NFC Title games.

1. 49ers and Falcons- The 49ers are here for the second straight year and last year’s loss to the G-men was as heartbreaking as it could get. I can honestly sit here and say Jim made the right decision by switching QB’s. Alex Smith will get you to conference title games, Colin Kaepernick will get you to a Super Bowl. The Falcons have finally gotten over that hump and won a playoff game! You have to be happy for Tony Gonzalez who will more than likely retire at the end of the season. The Georgia Dome is hosting a conference title for the first time ever.

2. Ravens at Patriots- This is becoming one of my favorite rivalries in the game today. They’ve had some memorable match ups the last couple of seasons. A few years ago in the 2009-10 season, Baltimore went into Foxboro and destroyed the Patriots who were without Wes Welker who blew out his knee the week before. Then, we have last season’s AFC title game. Lee Evans catches that pass in the end zone, the Ravens are AFC champions. These two played in week 3 of the regular season which was a back and forth affair and a emotional night for Torrey Smith who lost his brother in a motorcycle accident prior to the game. For the second straight year, it’ll come down to Baltimore and New England for the AFC.
