NFC North Battle.

NFC Game Of The Week

Bears (3-0) at Lions (2-1)

Bears: When I was on air last week, I was asked am I a believer in the Bears. I simply stated I’m almost there but not quite. After what I saw them do last week in Pittsburgh, I’m now a firm believer in this football team. I also stated that I wanted to see them start off putting points on the scoreboard. For them to beat the Steelers at one of the toughest places to play and to put points on the board from both sides of the football really says a lot about these guys. They are a much improved team under Trestman. The offense is moving the ball down the field, the defense is still doing it’s usual and the offensive line which was always the weakness of the team has improved immensely. The Bears are looking to remain perfect in the Marc Trestman era in Detroit on Sunday.

Lions: The Lions have talent. An average quarterback in Stafford, the best wide receiver in Megatron and a defensive with a talent but controversial defensive linemen in Suh. The Lions also have Reggie Bush who can open up the field with his receiving abilities and hopefully he can run the ball and stay healthy and give the Lions the balance they need on offense. With this team though, you never know what to expect from them. They’ve had a lot of issues taking care of the football and closing out games and playing with discipline. For them to get back to the playoffs, they need to play better on defense and play with confidence. They’ll look to hand the Bears their first loss on Sunday.

Prediction: It’s always a physical game when these two match up. For the Bears to win, they need to force Stafford to look elsewhere other than Calvin Johnson. Tillman has had success against Calvin in his career. The Lions keys to the game are attacking this much improved Bears offensive line. I like the Bears to keep rolling. Bears 27 Lions 17
