Packers Battle 49ers In Playoff Rematch.

NFC Game Of The Week

Packers at 49ers

Packers- To many people, The Green Bay Packers are still a powerhouse within the NFC. With that quarterback they have in Aaron Rodgers, you are going to win football games. The biggest issues surrounding the Packers though are the lack of a running game and their defense which has been considered one of the very worse in the game today. These issues will prevent them from bringing the Lombardi trophy back home. In other words, those must improve moving forward. They haven’t had a 100 yard rusher in 43 straight games and as a defense, Clay has been the only guy making plays. They put no pressure on the quarterback and their secondary gives up many big plays down the field and they blow a lot of coverages. For the second straight season and for the first time since January, the Packers will get another shot at the 49ers.

49ers- This is the cream of the crop in the NFC. What’s there not to like about this 49ers team? They play hard, have a great coach in Jim Harbaugh, play a very physical style of defense and have more of a spark on offense with Kap at the quarterback. This off-season, the 49ers added a very good outside threat in Anquan Boldin and he will be used often alongside Veron Davis. As a defense, this is a top five unit. They’re hard hitting, aggressive, they swarm to the football and they make teams very one-dimensional. They also have one of the front runners for the defensive MVP in Aldon Smith. In the NFC, the road to East Rutherford will more than likely travel through San Francisco.

Prediction- The last time we saw these two square off was in January in the playoffs. Colin Kapernick ran all around the Packers defense. 183 yard rushing to be exact. The Packers have stated this week that they play to get after Kapernick and keep him in the pocket to make him a passer. The 49ers have the necessary push and pressure to get after Aaron. I like San Fran to get the W. 49ers 34 Packers 24
