If You Like Saving $$$, Gas Prices Will Make You Happy
The per-gallon cost of regular has dropped for the third week in a row, according to www.illinoisgasprices.com.
Another huge drop in gas prices again this week. A gallon of regular in Plainfield is going for $3.69 to $3.79 per-gallon -- a decline of 26 cents to 30 cents from last week, according to www.illinoisgasprices.com.
For a change, we're less than the Illinois average of $3.80 per gallon but still higher than the national per-gallon price tag of $3.60.
If you're really looking for a bargain, head over to Sam's Club at the corner of Larkin and McDonough avenues in Joliet, where they're selling gas for $3.64 a gallon (although you may have to have a membership to cash in on that price). And stay out of Naperville, where the costs are running between $3.87 and $3.92, www.illinoisgasprices.com reports.
