Snuff Out Smokes with County's Free Patch/Gum Program

The Plainfield Walgreens is handing out free advice and smoking cessation nicotine substitutes for smokers who call the Illinois Tobacco Quitline.

Plainfield smokers are getting a free pass to butt out.

The Will County Health Department has teamed up with area Walgreens to supply nicotine replacement therapy to Will County residents who want to snuff their habit. All you have to do is call the Illinois Tobacco Quitline, 1-866-QUIT-YES,  to find out how to get up to six weeks of nicotine gum or nicotine patches from selected Walgreens stores in Plainfield.

Walgreens in Joliet, Romeoville, New Lenox, Lockport, and Shorewood are also part of the program, as are the Doc’s Drugs stores in Wilmington, Peotone and Beecher.
