air Patrol is proud to be celebrating 72 years of service to America. We have
come a long way from the dark days of WWII to 9/11 to the present challenges.
Our three missions allow us to work with more people and better serve America.
Civil Air Patrol is a non for profit and an all-volunteer organization with
units in all 50 states and over 60,000 members. Civil Air Patrol performs over
90 percent of all inland search and rescue requests. We also work with cadets -
12 to 18 year old boys and girls - to teach them leadership, character
development, and about aerospace. Civil Air Patrol provides aerospace education
through grants to classroom teachers, material for teachers to use, classes for
youth and adults, and support for educational conferences and workshops
