Main Street Museum Re-opens for 2013

The Plainfield Historical Society has re-opened the Main Street Museum following the Winter Hiatus. New exhibits feature Electric Park, "the Ideal Summer Resort" as well as what happened at Electric Park "After the Gates Closed" in 1923.


A tribute to barbering in Plainfield shows interesting artifacts as well as highlights two long time barbering families: Kelly and Worst.


The World War I and II exhibit tells stories of Ira Jones, Fred Martens and Herschel Peterson.
