The Plainfield Park District will host an Egg-citing Activities event on Saturday, March 23. The event, which includes a craft, a snack, and an egg hunt with the Easter Bunny, will take place at Van Horn Woods West, located on Lily Cache Road just north of Caton Farm Road. The event will start at 10 a.m., with crafts and snacks until 11:30 a.m. The egg hunt will be divided into age groups. Participants age 3 and younger (with an adult) will scramble for eggs at 11 a.m., followed by 4- and 5-year-olds at 11:15 a.m., and 6- and 7-year-olds at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $5 per participant for residents, and $7.50 per participant for non-residents. Pre-registration is required by Monday, March 18. No on-site registration will be allowed. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all participants are asked to bring their own basket or bag for collecting eggs. The event will take place rain or shine.
