St. Mary Immaculate - Make a Difference Day

Hundreds of St. Mary Immaculate, Plainfield parishioners will be volunteering their time and talent on a myriad of projects on October 27, Make a Difference Day, A Day of Faith and Service to Bring Jesus to Others.

It’s a great opportunity for everyone (families, young adults, seniors, teens, and youth) to join on one (or more) of our faith and service projects, providing people-power to help households or organizations in need in the Plainfield community. You can help build fellowship within our parish and our community by giving of yourself during this exciting day.

The Saturday, October 27 schedule starts at 7:30 a.m. with Daily Mass in the Church. At 8:00 a.m. a Blessing of Volunteers will send our teams to their projects. From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. they will complete assorted Faith and Service Projects, benefiting the Parish and those throughout the community, with durations of 1 to 2 hours each, all day long.

And you can get your car washed for free – just pull into the church parking lot, just pull into the church parking lot between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

At 4:00 p.m. the Saturday Parish Vigil Mass will recognize volunteers and their day’s service and at 5:00 p.m. a dinner for all volunteers will be served in the St. Mary Immaculate Gym
