Holiday Lights Recycling

Holiday Lights Recycling: December 2-February 6
As you get ready to put up your holiday decorations, you are bound to have some lights that don’t work anymore. Don't throw them away! Drop them off at the Plainfield Library so they can be recycled and re-purposed by Elgin Recycling.  Last year more than 2,000 pounds of lights and strings were collected, resulting in over $300 in revenue that was used for other "Go Green" initiatives at the  Plainfield Library. Large bins will be placed in front of the Library beginning the week of December 2 so you can drop off whenever it is convenient for you.  Collections will be accepted through February 6.
